We offer Suzuki Piano instruction and traditional lessons in classical and jazz piano, theory and composition to students of all ages, as well as preparation for the examinations. Lessons are typically 30 - 60 minutes long, and include performance, reading, theory and aural skills. Lessons take place in our home studio in Verdun (H4G 2Z4) as well as online through Skype, Zoom and Facetime.
Our students participate in a variety of performance experiences, including monthly group classes, twice-yearly recitals, student workshops, competitions and exams. We believe performing is an integral part of learning music and strive to offer both formal and informal opportunities in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
Interested students may schedule a free interview/lesson where we will determine which approach fits best with your family (Suzuki or traditional), student readiness, placement, and student/teacher compatibility.
More About Us
We are the proud parents of three girls, ages 16, 14, and 10, and relocated to Montreal from Chicago in autumn 2016. The Music Studio included dozens of students in the Hyde Park of Chicago (down the block from the ), where we enjoyed a community of families and dear friends. We made the bittersweet decision to move in order to raise our own children in Canada, where there is better access to education all the way through university, healthcare, and to offer our kids the chance to become bilingual. We are thrilled to now be a part of this vibrant, musical community!
